Thanks to Ray Rozen of RMIT for pointing out that in Section A Q18, the oranges and lemons are all randomly selected so the masses of the fruits are independent. Hence Var(O1+O2+O3+L1+L2)=Var(O1)+Var(O2) …etc

Q3 b) (i) apparent temp = -1.7 + 0.94 x actual temp
Q3 b) (ii) “(On average) When the temperature is 0 degrees Celsius, the apparent temperature is -1.7 degrees Celsius.”
Q6 b) The answer is missing the initial value C0 = 38000 which must be part of a recurrence relation.
